Walk the ancient city streets and narrow winding lanes through the heart of Galway’s old Medieval Quarter.
We begin at Eyre Square, former jousting ground and site of the town gallows, followed by a visit to a section of the original medieval town wall complete with twin watchtowers.
We walk through the Gothic arches of St Nicholas Collegiate Church to learn of the legendary Knights Templar and mysterious apprentice pillar.
We also visit the Spanish Arch, Hall of the Red Earl and medieval merchant houses such as Lynches Castle and Blake’s Tower. We finish our tour with a bloody tale of regicide at the medieval Kings Head Pub.
